DFI

From Orderwave 2.0 Documentation

Jump to: navigation, search

DFI stands for Dual File Import, and is the standard file-based method for importing orders into Orderwave. It gets it's name because it utilizes 2 files to define the orders it contains. he first file, the "header" file, contains order-based information like the billing and shipping addresses, the payment details, and other order-based flags. The second file, the "items" file, contains the items (or SKUs) for the orders. Splitting the orders into 2 separate files provides a great deal of flexibility in terms of the number of items ordered, the different SKUs ordered, and the calculations of the order-totals.
